Armed attack in Poland! There are dead and injured

5 people died and many people were injured in the armed attack on the Main Square (Rynek Główny) in Krakow, Poland. It was reported that the attacker was shot and injured by the police and was taken to the hospital.

According to Polish Press Agency PAP, the incident occurred around 15:00. A man entered Krakow's historic Main Square by car and opened fire on random people in the area.

While the police announced that the attacker was taken into custody, they announced that many people, including police officers, were injured in the incident.

A large-scale rescue effort was launched in the region. An air ambulance helicopter landed on the square to evacuate the injured.

Police teams continue to work at the scene.
