Jundiaí City Hall takes legal action so that new company takes over garbage collection after delay in service

The City of Jundiaí (SP) went to court to have the new garbage collection company take over the service, which is lagging behind in some neighborhoods of the city.

Residents of Vila Hortolândia, for example, said in an interview with g1 that garbage trucks did not pass by the place.

The city hall informed that Trail, the current company, obtained an injunction in court to continue operating until Saturday (14). According to the municipal administration, collection was delayed due to lack of employees.

Anyone who lives in places where there is a problem with garbage collection can call 156. The company Trail Infraestrutura was contacted to comment on the case but has not yet responded.

Recently, the Court prohibited Jundiaí City Hall from entering into new contracts with Trail. The measure responded to a request from the Public Ministry of the State of São Paulo (MPSP). The case began with a popular action filed by Rodrigo Vieira das Neves de Arruda.

The situation was questioned in court after two consecutive emergency contracts were made for urban cleaning services in the city.
