Four fundraising campaigns are being carried out in Petrolina, in the Sertão of Pernambuco, with the aim of gathering toys and other donations for actions aimed at children and families in situations of social vulnerability.
The initiatives are promoted by the Pingo de Ventania Feliz Project, by young people from Residencial Vivendas, the Criança Feliz Project and the NGO Rua de Baixo. The actions have different dates, locations, fundraising methods and audiences served.
Pingo de Ventania Feliz Project
The Pingo de Ventania Feliz Social Project carries out the second edition of a solidarity action on September 27, 2026, a Sunday. The initiative aims to bring affection, joy, love and hope to children and families in situations of social vulnerability.
In the first edition, 313 bags were donated. For this year, 120 have already been organized and the expectation is to increase the number. The bags will be delivered during the action and will contain toys, sweets and other items.
The campaign welcomes new or used toys in good condition, sweets, chewable candies, lollipops, jelly beans, chocolates, bonbons, popcorn, children's clothes and shoes in good condition, as well as non-perishable foods. Financial contributions of any amount are also accepted.
The collection point is the Ponto de Cultura Casa do Cordel Mulheres Cordelistas, located at Rua Gengibre, nº 138, in the Cosme e Damião neighborhood. The street is also popularly known as Rua 16.

Solidarity campaign at Residencial Vivendas
A group of young people from Residencial Vivendas is preparing the third edition of Children's Day, scheduled for October 12th, at the neighborhood court, from 7am to 11am. The program will include games, recreational activities and distribution of toys.
According to information released by the organizers, this will be the fifth solidarity action promoted by the group in the neighborhood. The campaign collects new or used toys, as long as they are in good condition.
Donations can be delivered to Barbearia Sam do Corte, designated as the official collection point, or on Rua J1, at Residencial Vivendas 2.
Financial contributions of any amount are also accepted, which will be used to prepare the party. Interested parties can participate in the fundraising online or look for those responsible for the initiative. For more information click here.
The group is also looking for volunteers to work in different areas. Among the services and activities requested are barbershop, hairdresser, braids, face painting, animation, recreation, artistic presentations, clowning, music, food and support in the organization.
The programming is aimed at children in the community, including those in socially vulnerable situations. At the end of the activities, a water car swim is planned.
Happy Child Project
The Happy Child Project completes 10 years of operation with solidarity actions aimed at children and families in vulnerable situations. The initiative began on N2, in Petrolina, and currently serves between 380 and 450 children per year, according to information provided by the organization.
Children's Day and Christmas festivities are held in a club within Núcleo 2. The project also promotes campaigns aimed at helping families in other locations. For this year's campaign, toys, sweets, clothes, shoes and other items are being collected.

NGO Rua de Baixo
The NGO Rua de Baixo is holding the seventh edition of the “It's Fun to Donate” campaign, which aims to raise funds and toys to assemble 1,000 Happiness Kits for socially vulnerable children in Petrolina and Juazeiro, in Bahia.
According to the organization, each kit has a value of R$75. Donations can be made via Pix or through an online fundraiser. Donation information can be found on the project's social networks, available by clicking here.

The campaign is scheduled to end on October 10th. The kits will be delivered on October 11th and 12th, during commemorative social actions.
