Launching Peugeot 408 Sport Edition limited to 100 units in Vietnam

Users who own 1 in 100 Peugeot 408 Sport Edition will receive a set of personalization and car care privileges worth 69 million VND.

On September 9, Thaco Auto launched a limited edition of 100 Peugeot 408 Sport Edition units, with equipment packages and incentives for 100 owners.

According to this company, the above offer includes the Sport Edition personalized package (39.9 million); Free maintenance for 1 year or 20,000 km (13 million); underbody coating, high-end ceramic coating (10 million) and 3 years of RSA rescue service. In addition, the car enjoys a 5-year warranty policy with unlimited kilometers, the company applies Mobile Service on-site maintenance and Mobility Service replacement car support service during the warranty period.

The Peugeot 408 Sport Edition is distributed by Thaco Auto with three versions: Allure (1,039 billion), Premium (1,139 billion) and GT (1,289 billion). The car uses a 1.6 Turbo PureTech engine, 218 horsepower, 8-speed automatic transmission.

The company explains that the difference of the Sport Edition lies in the personalization program.

According to Thaco Auto, owners of this 408 version can choose exterior and interior colors, and decorate details with five elements. Exterior colors include red, white, black, gray and blue. Interior options are black, red or brown. Some glossy black painted details are on the panels: front bumper, sides, wheel arches, rear bumper.

There are personalized details on the side, the company uses UV printing technology to help car owners put their name, signature or characters according to their preferences. The version logo is also placed on the seat headrest.

Thaco Auto said that 2026 marks the 100-year journey since Peugeot first participated in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race, and is also the occasion for the company to launch a limited edition of 100 408 Sport Edition units in Vietnam. 24 Hours of Le Mans is a famous endurance race in the auto industry. The French company first participated in 1926 and won 3 times here, according to Peugeot.

In 2023, the Peugeot 9X8 model will be used by this company, and will compete in the 2026 season.

"The Peugeot 408 Sport Edition is not a racing car, but uses a number of Motorsport-inspired elements to create differences in design and personalization. The car is limited to 100 units, corresponding to the 100-year milestone since Peugeot first attended Le Mans," said a Thaco Auto representative.
