Roberto Rocha presents proposals to cut expenses and strengthen Gaeco on the agenda in São Luís

Roberto Rocha, candidate for governor of Maranhão for the Brazilian Labor Renewal Party (PRTB), completed his schedule in São Luís after undergoing commitments in the interior of the state.

The candidate made a stop at the capital's bus station, where he spoke to supporters. During the agenda, he stated that one of the priorities of a possible administration will be to cut public spending.

Roberto Rocha said he intends to reduce commissioned positions, eliminate expenses considered unnecessary and expand the population's access to information about government spending through digital tools.

The candidate also defended the strengthening of the Special Action Group to Combat Criminal Organizations (Gaeco), with the expansion of operations to other regions of Maranhão.

“We will increase digitalization in the government, the population will have control over all public spending and we will strengthen, respecting the autonomy of the Public Ministry, Gaeco.”
