Disrupted criminal group in the club: they traded people and profited from prostitution for 15 years

As reported by Superintendent Anna Kamola, spokeswoman for the Lublin police, for the last 15 years, a criminal group has been operating in one of the clubs in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, profiting from prostitution and human trafficking.

The owners of the club - a 63-year-old man and his 44-year-old wife - were to provide women with a place to engage in prostitution, supervise their work and ensure the safety of customers.

Investigators determined that five other people, aged 42 to 68, took part in the operation. One of them is already serving a sentence for other crimes.

Women's drama and millions of dollars in profits

One of the victims was a 28-year-old woman who, according to investigators' findings, was a victim of human trafficking.

The suspects took advantage of her state of helplessness and lack of a place to live, investigators emphasize.

According to the prosecutor's office, the criminal group earned over PLN 5.5 million in the years 2009-2024. Mobile phones, laptops, voice recorders and money were seized at the scene.

Charges and the threat of many years in prison

The club's owners were charged with founding and managing a criminal group profiting from prostitution and human trafficking. The District Court in Zamość decided to temporarily arrest them for three months. The remaining members of the group were also charged with participating in an organized criminal group.
