The Government Security Center issued alerts for eastern Poland in connection with Russian attacks on Ukraine

On the night from Monday to Tuesday, the Government Security Center announced an alert in connection with Russian air attacks on Ukraine. The warning was sent to residents of the Lublin and Podkarpackie voivodeships.

"Russian air attack in Ukraine. The situation is being monitored. Polish aviation is operating in the Polish airspace. Expect further announcements. The RCB alert has been sent to recipients in the Lublin and Podkarpackie Voivodeships," the Government Security Center reported at midnight on the X platform.

Three alerts in a few hours

On Monday, from the afternoon to the evening, due to the attacks on Ukraine, residents of eastern Poland received three RCB alerts informing about the pickup of Polish aviation.

- We will all be on high alert this night. Our services will be closely monitoring what is happening. We also follow messages from Ukraine. We have also doubled the staff at the Provincial Crisis Management Center, where there are already two on duty, so all hands are on deck and we will respond on an ongoing basis - announced Krzysztof Komorski, Voivode of Lublin.
