A Monitoring Commission is being established in the Parliament for the organization that lays down its arms.

Preparations for monitoring the disarmament will accelerate and a Monitoring Commission will be established in the Parliament in October. The process board will also create sub-commissions.

The mechanisms determined to implement the regulations in the Framework Law and to monitor the disarmament process of the organization are starting their work. The monitoring and liaison commission in the Parliament will be established in October, after the start of the new legislative term. The commission is planned to be formed in the second or third week of October.

The Process Board, chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, is expected to determine its sub-commissions at the meeting to be held on Monday, August 24. Representatives of ministries, institutions and organizations and persons deemed necessary may also be invited to the meetings. It is envisaged that non-governmental organizations and academics will also be heard in the subcommittees.

In the sub-commissions to be established, topics such as the integration of members of the organization into civilian life and their rehabilitation will be discussed. The process board will inform the Monitoring and Liaison Commission to be established in the Parliament regarding its work.

While the preparations continue, the DEM Party is expected to make a new visit to İmralı. The delegation will include DEM Party Van Deputy Pervin Buldan, Şanlıurfa Deputy Mithat Sancar and Lawyer Faik Özgür Erol. During the visit, evaluations will be made regarding the Process Board and the commission to be established in the Parliament. The last visit to İmralı was made on August 2.
