Historical Logistics Warehouse in Sivas Converted into YHT Station

The new High Speed ​​Train (YHT) station building in Sivas was put into service with a ceremony.

According to the statement made by the governorship, the historical logistics warehouse building located in the train station area was restored, preserving its original architectural features, and reorganized as a YHT service building, following the restoration works carried out.

Speaking at the opening of the new station, AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler stated that they worked intensively to ensure that the station building has an appearance worthy of Sivas.

Stating that a very different station building could be built in Sivas, where the historical station building is located, Güler said, "We made an effort to give this place an identity for our Sivas. Today's technological possibilities and the construction features of that period can be reflected in certain infrastructure programs of our ancient cities such as Sivas. However, where we have a historical station building like Sivas, a different station building could be built in terms of both construction technologies and mechanical systems. While we benefit from the High Speed ​​Train service next to our station building with its historical identity and texture, we actually use this registered building." "We carried out a study on how we could provide service by making it more special. We planned this place with the same understanding. With the approval of our regional board, the tender was made and we put it into service today." he said.

Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek also gave information about the station building and noted that they started the new week with a nice opening and that they were happy to open the YHT station building together.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz stated that it is very important for them to serve these lands where Nuri Demirağ, who knitted Türkiye from top to bottom with iron networks, was born.

Following the speeches, the YHT service building was opened.
