Sivas Train Station Historical Logistics Warehouse Building Opened After Restoration

The historical logistics warehouse building located in the Sivas Train Station area was brought back to the city after the restoration works.

The historical building, which was restored while preserving its original architectural features, started to serve as a new station building that combines modern transportation services with historical texture.

Within the scope of the project, the historical building was reorganized to meet the needs of YHT passengers. While new service areas were created in the building, environmental arrangements were also made. A waiting room, VIP lounge and a new service building were created in the new station building with a total gated area of ​​1005 square meters.

In order to meet the services that passengers may need before and after transportation, ticket offices, administrative units, passenger waiting areas, prayer room, parking lot and cafeteria were also made ready for service. By preserving and restoring the historical building in accordance with its original form, it is aimed to transfer the cultural heritage of Sivas to future generations, while the areas needed for modern transportation services were also added to the structure.

The new station building was opened with a ceremony. Sivas Governor Yılmaz Şimşek, GNAT AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler, Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Osman Boyraz, Deputy Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Nevzat Şatıroğlu, AK Party Sivas MPs Hakan Aksu, Rukiye Toy, Mayor Adem Uzun and protocol members attended the opening ceremony.

Speaking at the opening, AK Party Group Chairman Abdullah Güler said, "We made an effort to give this place an identity for our Sivas. We worked on making the building, which is located next to a historical station building and which is registered to our day, more special. There are many beautiful examples in the world. Besides the buildings with historical identities, you will see many different buildings that complement them. We planned and projected this place with the same understanding. Good luck."

After the speech, a prayer was said and the opening ribbon was cut.
