The Social Democrats demand suspension of SD officials after disclosure

On Sunday, the Social Democrats' defense policy spokesperson Peter Hultqvist issued a demand: the SD official connected to Russian networks and Russian propaganda must be suspended from his post. According to Hultqvist, this also applies to her partner, who is one of Jimmie Åkesson's closest employees at the Government Office.

- Until the prime minister acts, answers our questions and explains what information these people had access to, we demand that they be suspended from their respective positions. The Social Democrats also demand that a security case be established, says Peter Hultqvist in a press release.

Jimmie Åkesson dismisses the claim. According to him, it is not a security crisis.

- If it had been, the authorities would of course have taken measures and they have not done so, says the SD leader to Expressen.

He points out that no authority contacted SD after Expo's disclosure, which was made last Thursday.

- No one has contacted us. As far as I know, no one has communicated to anyone else, either from any intelligence service or any security service, that this is some kind of urgent crisis. So that's just a political game, quite simply, says Åkesson to Expressen.

At the same time, Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson is criticized from the S side for not taking the matter seriously enough.
