Kinoshita Cup figure skating begins: Ami Nakai leads personal best in women's SP

Figure skating's Challenger Series (CS) Kinoshita Group Cup opened on the 4th at the Tanaka Kikinzoku Ice Arena in Tokyo, and Milan-Cortina Olympic bronze medalist Ami Nakai (TOKIO Inkarami) took first place in the women's short program (SP) with a personal best of 80.27 points. Mao Shimada (Kinoshita Group), who has won four consecutive World Junior Championships, finished in second place with a difference of 1.43 points. Yuna Aoki (Nippon Tatemono Kansai) came in 8th place. Russian-born Alexandra Ignatova (née Trusova), silver medalist at the 2022 Beijing Olympics, started in fourth place.

In the men's SP, Roshi Nakata (MF Academy), who made his senior debut this season, came out on top with a score of 96.48. Shun Sato (Aim Service), who won bronze at the Milan-Cortina Olympics, finished third, and Yoshio Miura (Meiji University) fell behind in 11th place.
