Ankara Police Financial Crimes Fighting teams carried out a simultaneous operation at the previously determined addresses at dawn at 05:00 against the leader of Süleymancılar, Alihan Kuriş, criminal organization. One of the most critical addresses in the operation was the house belonging to Alihan Kuriş. A raid was conducted on the officially registered residence address of Kuriş, who was previously tracked and located via his mobile phone signal. While his mobile phone was giving signal at home, Kuriş could not be found in all searches made. In the detailed study, it was determined that Kuriş had moved to a second address. Thereupon, the second address was visited and a search was made. Kuriş was caught hiding in a secret compartment at the second address. It was determined that Kuriş had a special compartment built at home against a possible operation. COURIERS WERE USED IN COMMUNICATION. The fact that Kuriş left his mobile phone at home and hid it at a second address brought to mind the question, 'Did he hear about the operation?' It is also being investigated whether there is a leak related to the operation. It was revealed that Kuriş followed a FETO-style formation with its hierarchical organization, regional and district responsibilities, commission system, closed communication methods and overseas structuring. It was determined that Kuriş, who was especially sensitive about avoiding tracking and leaving no digital trace, used couriers for important communications, and that no one outside his own narrow circle was aware of the work done. Meanwhile, the police interrogations of the detained suspects began. Entry and exit to the 4th floor of Ankara police station is prohibited. While even off-duty police officers were not allowed on the floor, it was learned that the investigation was carried out with a limited team and its details were known only by this team. MILLIONS OF LIRA WERE SECUGHED Within the scope of the operation, a large amount of foreign currency, gold and Turkish lira were seized during the searches carried out in the houses of the suspects and the seized companies. During the searches, gold worth 1 million 886 thousand 316 dollars, 79 thousand 555 Euros, 300 thousand Turkish Liras, 146 million 934 thousand Turkish Liras and a large number of diamonds, gold and necklaces that are still being determined, jewelery and watches worth 14 million 332 thousand Turkish Liras, 430 thousand Iranian Rials, 710 sterling, 2 thousand liras. 765 UAE Dinars, 30 Swiss Francs, 122 thousand 660 Albanian Leks and 1000 Azerbaijani Manats were seized. In addition, 14 unlicensed pistols, 700 cartridges and a ballistic vest, and a large number of digital materials and documents were seized. Meanwhile, 37 of the 49 suspects for whom detention orders were issued were detained. While efforts continue to capture 3 fugitive suspects who were determined to be in Turkey, it was determined that 9 suspects were abroad.
