1 million 642 thousand synthetic pharmaceutical pills were seized in a minibus in Sultanbeyli

Istanbul Police Department Anti-Narcotic Crimes Branch Directorate teams carried out work to prevent drug and stimulant trafficking. In this context, an operation was carried out against a minibus in Sultanbeyli on October 28. It was learned that the 2 suspects in the minibus said that they were carrying cancer drugs in the vehicle and that they would take the drugs to Izmir.

It was stated that the suspects stated that the doors in the relevant section of the vehicle should not be opened in order to prevent the drugs from being damaged and to protect the cold air chain, and when asked about the delivery note documents for the drugs, they stated that they would send the documents via e-mail later.

During the checks carried out on the minibus by the teams, it was determined that the cooling system was not working. During the searches of the vehicle, a total of 1 million 642 thousand synthetic pharmaceutical pills containing the active ingredient pregabalin were seized in 18 boxes. Two suspects were detained during the operation.
