The man who protected his books from the Assad regime by building a wall in Syria regained his library after 15 years

Amr bin Mustafa Alwan, who hid his library of religious and philosophical works with a wall after the Bashar Assad regime banned many books during the civil war in Syria, regained his library after approximately 15 years.

Returning to his home in the city of Homs, which he left at the end of 2011, Alwan broke the wall he had built with a hammer and took out his library in the autumn. It was observed that the works in the library remained in good condition without any damage despite the passing years.
