A gun was found in the bag of 7-year-old A.E., a 1st grade primary school student in Tarsus district of Mersin. A.E.'s father, R.E., who was taken into custody, said that he put the gun in the bag and then forgot about it.

According to DHA news; The incident took place at Pakize Bayraktar Primary School in Akşemsettin District of the district. During the National Anthem ceremony in the schoolyard, a teacher noticed that first grade student A.E. had a gun in his bag. After the situation was reported to the school administration, police teams were notified. The arriving police started an investigation into the gun in the bag.

R.E., the father of the student who is said to be the owner of the gun. He was detained. A.E. He was taken to the Children's Branch Directorate. In his statement at the police station, R.E., who is a contractor, stated that the gun was his licensed gun and that he later forgot that he had put it in his son's bag.

On the other hand, after the incident, Tarsus District Governor Mehmet Ali Akyüz and District Director of National Education Mustafa Anteplioğlu came to the school and received information from the authorities. The investigation into the incident continues.
