The Turkish Grand National Assembly Begins the New Legislative Year: Red Crescent and Booking Proposals are on the Agenda

The recess of the Turkish Grand National Assembly is ending. The new legislative year will begin on Thursday, October 1. A special session will be held at the General Assembly on Thursday at 14.00.

PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN WILL GIVE A SPEECH

President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will address members of parliament at the General Assembly at the opening of the new legislative year. On the same day, a reception will be held by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, Numan Kurtulmuş.

Following the opening of the new legislative year, the General Assembly of the Parliament will begin its work on Tuesday, October 6.

THERE ARE IMPORTANT REGULATIONS ON THE AGENDA OF THE GNAT IN THE NEW LEGISLATIVE YEAR

So, what will be on the agenda of the Parliament in the 5th Legislative Year of the 28th Term?

A monitoring commission will be established upon the opening of the Parliament in order to closely monitor the work carried out towards the goal of a terrorism-free Türkiye.

The first regulation to be discussed in the General Assembly is expected to be the Turkish Red Crescent Bill, which was submitted to the Parliament last legislative year but could not be discussed due to the busy agenda.

The 9-article proposal includes provisions regarding the duties and powers, rights and exemptions of the Turkish Red Crescent.

The bill that will pave the way for the reactivation of the digital accommodation application Booking, which has been blocked from access for 9 years, is among the regulations expected to be discussed at the General Assembly.

The 13th Judicial Package is expected to come to the agenda of the Turkish Grand National Assembly in October.
