Pavel Durov called temporary blocking of Telegram in India a mistake

Telegram co-founder Pavel Durov believes that the Indian authorities made a mistake by temporarily blocking the messenger. The businessman wrote about this on the social network X.

As explained by the Indian government, the blocking of Telegram is due to the fact that it was used to cheat in exams. However, according to Durov, such a step will not help solve the problem - he explained that now the leaks have simply moved to other applications.

“Telegram is a force for good. Blocking, even temporary, is a mistake,” Durov said.
