Critical meeting in TFF

In the "Referees File" investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for 5 people, including the President of the Central Referee Board (MHK), Ferhat Gündoğdu, while 2 people were released on condition of judicial control.

Super League referee Yasin Kol and assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel were also arrested within the scope of the investigation; Following these developments, the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) Board of Directors decided to meet with an extraordinary election agenda.

AN EXTRAORDINARY ELECTION DECISION MAY BE MADE

The meeting, which is of critical importance for Turkish football, will be held today. It was learned that the TFF Board of Directors may decide on an 'extraordinary election' at the meeting that will start at 17.00 at the TFF headquarters in Riva.

The situation of National Football Team Coach Vincenzo Montella will also be discussed at the meeting.

2 NAMES RESIGNED FROM THE MANAGEMENT

Following the investigation and arrests against MHK and the referees, 2 people resigned from the TFF Board of Directors. Ural Aküzüm, Board Member Responsible for Amateur Football, Women's Football and Disabled Football, and Mevlüt Aktan, Board Member Responsible for Strategic Planning and Development, resigned.

TFF President İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu's nephew, TFF General Secretary Abdullah Ayaz also resigned and left his post. The appointment to replace Abdullah Ayaz, who resigned from his post as general secretary, and the upcoming broadcast tender are also expected to be discussed at this meeting.

Following his arrest, MHK President Ferhat Gündoğdu also resigned from his position as Chairman of the Central Referee Board. On the other hand, Yaşar Kemal Uğurlu, who served as MHK VAR Coordinator, also decided to resign.
