'Betting' objection from TFF to Arbitration!

Within the scope of the betting investigation against Super League and 1st League managers, 448 people working in professional leagues were referred to the Professional Football Disciplinary Board. While PFDK did not impose any penalty on 301 people, it imposed 45-day deprivation of rights on other managers, including Trabzonspor President Ertuğrul Doğan, who were found to be betting.

TFF, on the other hand, initiated the official objection process, arguing that the decisions were problematic in terms of both criminal justice and past practices.

"THE DECISIONS ARE CONTRARY TO THE JUDICIAL LAW OF THE LAST YEAR"

In the petition submitted to the Arbitration Board on the 6th day of the 7-day legal objection period, the decisions made by PFDK regarding betting activities in the last year were reminded. The disciplinary inspectorate pointed out that the current sanctions and impunity decisions constitute a clear contradiction with the established disciplinary jurisprudence.

In the application forwarded to the Board, a two-stage request was made, emphasizing that the file should be reconsidered on its merits: First of all, the file should be returned to the PFDK for retrial; If this request was not deemed appropriate, it was requested that the federation be given at least 3 weeks of additional time to prepare a comprehensive appeal petition after the notification of the reasoned decision.

EYES ON ARBITRATION

Following this move by the Federation, all eyes turned to the Arbitration Board. If the Arbitration Board finds TFF's objection justified and returns the file, much more severe penalties may be imposed for hundreds of managers referred to PFDK. The board is expected to meet in the coming days and decide on this objection of the federation.
