Attention Istanbulites: Many roads, including the July 15 Martyrs Bridge, will be closed

Türkiye İş Bankası 48th Istanbul Marathon will take place on Sunday, November 1. On the track extending from Asia to Europe; Runners will compete in two separate categories.

The marathon will start from the metrobus stop on the 15 July Martyrs Bridge. After crossing the bridge, the race will continue on Dolmabahçe Street, following Barbaros Boulevard. Participants in the race will reach the Galata Bridge by following the Assembly Mebusan Street, Fındıklı, Tophane, Kemeraltı Street, Tuesday Market and Karaköy road.

After passing the Galata Bridge, turn towards Sirkeci, then go to the Coastal Road via Kennedy Street. The runners passing through Zeytinburnu and Bakırköy will return from the Air Force Academy and follow the same route and enter Gülhane Park from Sirkeci. The marathon will follow the tram route and end at Dikilitaş in Sultanahmet.

Due to the marathon, many roads in Istanbul, including the 15 July Martyrs Bridge, will be closed to traffic over the weekend.

In this context, the list of roads that will remain closed to traffic from 03.00 on Sunday, November 1 until the end of the event is as follows:

- 15 July Martyrs Bridge

- Star Link Road

- Coastal Road (Beşiktaş-Karaköy and Eminönü-Yeşilköy line)

- Galata Bridge

The detailed list of roads and streets that will be closed to traffic is as follows:

- Abdullahağa Street (Beylerbeyi Naval Education and Training Command, 15 July Martyrs Bridge Connection roads and Beylerbeyi Pier (The flow will be directed towards Beylerbeyi Çamlıca Street)

- Kısıklı Caddesi, D-100 north and south access, Kuşbakışı Caddesi, Petrol-İş front, D-100 Highway south access, Mahiriz Caddesi, D-100 south access

- D-100 south-north junction on Altunizade Bridge, D-100 south-north junction in front of Tophanelioğlu Street Gold Bilgisayar, Beylerbeyi junction, South Zincirlikuyu junction, Sait Çiftçi junction, coming from Fenerbahçe Göztepe and joining the TEM junction, joining the Botanical Garden in the direction of Rıdvan Dedeoğlu

- Participation from North Ataşehir to Rıdvan Dedeoğlu, coming from the FSM turnstiles and joining the 1st Ring Road, coming from the south and joining the north, joining the north under the Mustafa Kemal Bridge, the place where the public run starts under the Altunizade bridge, between the marathon and the public run, the park entrance, the place where the marathon starts, the park exit, the park exit, between the turnstiles and the northern turnstile area.
