On the 19th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department's Tokyo Wangan Police Station arrested Shumori Inomata (25), a member of the idol group "timelesz," on suspicion of assaulting a female acquaintance (26). He denied the charges and made statements such as, ``I panicked after an argument.My hand might have touched her.''

He was arrested on suspicion of punching a female acquaintance multiple times in the face, causing permanent injuries to her nose and other areas in a car parked in the parking lot of a convenience store in Tatsumi, Koto Ward, Tokyo, around 10:30 p.m. on the 18th.

Investigators said the woman was bleeding from her nose, but her injuries appeared to be minor. A woman called for help at the store, saying she had been hit by her boyfriend, and store staff and witnesses called 911.

Inomata joined the group as a new member in February last year after participating in an audition program.
