Fan falls from the upper stands of the Couto Pereira Stadium in Curitiba

A 49-year-old man fell from the upper stands of the Couto Pereira Stadium, in Curitiba, on Friday night (12). The fall was filmed by another fan and the video went viral on social media.

The situation happened during the classic between Coritiba and Athletico Paranaense.

The video first shows a moment of the match. Then, something falls from the upper bleachers, appearing to be a piece of clothing. Seconds later, a man wearing jeans and no shirt collapses. Fans are scared and question what happened.

The man received treatment at the stadium and was taken by ambulance to Hospital do Trabalhador, in Curitiba.

The club reported that it is monitoring the case and providing the necessary support, but stated that it cannot inform the fan's health status.

g1 contacted the hospital's press office to check the man's health status, but did not receive a response until the publication of this report.

In a statement, the Civil Police (PC-PR) stated that it is investigating the case.

The classic game between Coritiba and Athletico Paranaense was valid for the 27th round of the Brasileirão, and ended in a draw. Athletico opened 3-1 against Coritiba, but Coxa managed a 3-3 draw at home.

The goals were scored by Tiago Cóser, and Rodrigo Moledo (two goals) from Coritiba, and by Luiz Gustavo, Arthur Dias, and Viveros from Athletico Paranaense.
