Turin, 5-year-old boy hit: the 24-year-old's lawyer hypothesizes the accident

"I haven't had the opportunity to see her yet, but the fact that the girl and the child's father knew each other does not automatically rule out the accident. The accident is a hypothesis that I would maintain, with the particularity that the people knew each other." This was stated by the lawyer Cristian Scaramozzino, regarding the accusation of attempted murder and aggravated personal injury against a 24-year-old girl, who late yesterday evening ran over a 5-year-old boy in Turin, whose life was not in danger, hospitalized in Regina Margherita with a 30-40 day prognosis.

"From the child's condition - states the lawyer - I think we can talk about the fact that the child was hit, had contact with the car, not that he was hit. But I still don't have sufficient elements and I haven't been able to speak to the girl, so these are only hypotheses".

"It would seem that the father of the child - explains the lawyer - recognized her and that from there the dispute emerged regarding the voluntariness of the gesture. I don't know what relationship she had with the father of the child, I don't know if he is her ex-partner. I only know that it was this man who said he knew her. I don't know if in the moment of panic of seeing what happened the father said 'I know her, he did it on purpose', or if it was a coincidence".

"The girl's mother, who however wasn't with her, knows that she didn't run away - explains Scaramozzino -. I don't know if she got out of the car immediately, but then she was at the scene of the accident, from what we know, and that's where she was stopped. I don't know if a hundred meters or a meter from where the child was".
