Dead in house fire in Wuppertal-Barmen

The fire brigade rescued a dead resident from a fire in a residential building in Wuppertal. Residents alerted the fire department late in the evening because of a beeping smoke detector, they said.

According to the information, the man was quickly brought out of the smoke-filled building in the Barmen district. However, an emergency doctor was only able to determine his death, as it was said. The fire was extinguished. The police have launched an investigation into the cause of the fire and the cause of death.
