Tragic accident in Pomerania. Road blocked

The tragic accident occurred on Monday afternoon on national road No. 20 in Borcz in Kartuzy County (Pomeranian Voivodeship). Around 1:00 p.m. a truck and a passenger car collided there.

Five fire brigades and the Air Ambulance worked at the scene of the incident.

Despite the resuscitation, the life of one of the people traveling in the passenger car could not be saved - the doctor declared him dead - said junior midshipman Dawid Westrych, spokesman for the Pomeranian Provincial Commander of the State Fire Service.

Two other people were injured.

The road is blocked, detours for drivers

As a result of the accident, the route between Żukowo and Kościerzyna was completely blocked. The services are diverting traffic to local roads. Difficulties on national road No. 20 may last until approx. 16.00.

The services appeal to remember the extended braking distance, especially in autumn - due to wet asphalt.

Therefore, you should take your foot off the gas pedal, adjust your speed to the road conditions and keep a greater distance from the vehicle in front.
