Why It Matters

Traffic at Paris airports is expected to decline in 2026, a first since 2020, predicts Groupe ADP

Groupe ADP forecasts a slight drop in traffic at Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle and Paris-Orly in 2026 due to the increase in the cost of kerosene linked to the war in the Middle East, after a disappointing summer of 2026. Despite this downward revision, the company maintains its financial results forecast for 2026, with EBITDA expected at the lower end of the range of 2.30 to 2.35 billion euros. Traffic increased by 1.5% at Roissy in September but fell by 7.9% at Orly, while opponents demonstrated against the expansion of Roissy-CDG airport, and the government plans to increase the TEITLD in 2027.

“They have incomparable firepower”: the supremacy of American banks in Europe is increasing

American banks are widening the gap with European establishments in corporate and investment banking (CIB) activities in Europe, according to Matthieu Prieuret of Eurogroup Consulting. The general director of the FBF, Maya Atig, warned in July of a rapid deterioration of the situation, while a manager of a large bank underlines the increased presence of Wall Street giants even in medium-sized cities.
