Three men arrested hours after woman was found dead on Marliéria road

According to the PM, one of the prisoners, aged 30, was in a romantic relationship with the victim. He was located at home, in Timóteo, where the military also found the car that would have been used in the crime.

During the approach, the man took a .32 caliber revolver and a simulated firearm, which were seized. When searching the property, the police also found .380, 9 mm, .32 and .38 caliber ammunition, as well as portions of marijuana.

According to the Military Police, the suspect tried to escape and resisted arrest. When questioned, he denied participation in the crime and stated that he had lent the car to another person, but was unable to provide her identity.

The second man arrested, aged 28, was located in the Bandeirantes neighborhood. According to the PM, he tried to flee when he noticed the arrival of the military, but was caught. In the place where he passed during the escape attempt, 24 rocks of crack were found.

The third suspect, aged 32, was located in Jaguaraçu. According to the police, he had borrowed the firearm used in the femicide. With him, the military seized a .20 caliber ammunition and two radio communicators.

In addition to the three men, a fourth individual, aged 20, was taken to the Police Station after being found with drugs during the operations. The PM did not say whether it was related to the femicide.

The suspects and the seized materials were taken to the Plantão Police Station in Ipatinga. The Military Police did not release details about the motivation for the crime.
