Trump authorizes Ukrainian production of Patriot missiles, Putin freezes negotiations

Zelensky confirmed Trump's green light for Kiev to produce Patriot missiles for air defense at home. The announcement follows the face-to-face meeting with the tycoon on the sidelines of the UN work, during which the US proposed a trilateral meeting to relaunch the negotiations. But Putin's freeze has arrived on the negotiations: "Reconciliation and the proposal to resume negotiations are all options on the table; all this is possible. But, after everything they (the Ukrainians, ed.) have done, we will carefully evaluate what steps to take in this regard. In any case, we will take all decisions, including the possible resumption of the negotiation process, based on Russia's interests", added the Tsar. “In an attempt to contain Russia, the United States has destroyed the European security architecture and installed a Russophobic regime in Kiev,” Russian Foreign Minister Serghei Lavrov said. "Despite being aware of the futility of this strategy, Europe does everything it can to hinder peace negotiations," he added.

At least 16 people have died in Ukraine and Russia in the latest day of cross-attacks. Kiev announced that Russian attacks killed at least six people: in the north-eastern region of Sumy, in Zaporizhzhia and in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where the victims included a 17-year-old. Several people were also injured in Kiev in the aftermath of a Russian attack that caused seven deaths. Moscow said Ukrainian attacks killed four people in the Krasnodar and Belgorod regions, two young women in the village of Askaniya-Nova and three more people in the occupied part of the Zaporizhzhia region.
