Trump talks about an agreement with Iran, a withdrawal from the ICC and bases in Greenland before the UN

Donald Trump indicated on Tuesday September 22 that he had to decide between “annihilating” Iran or making an “agreement” with Tehran, in an expected speech to the UN General Assembly.

“I believe we will reach an agreement just after the legislative elections” scheduled in the United States in November, the American president immediately added.

An agreement between Russia and Ukraine “sooner than we think”

Donald Trump also assured that an agreement between Russia and Ukraine would arrive “sooner than we think”. “We are working very closely with the leaders of Russia and Ukraine, and we will resolve this case. This will happen, I believe, sooner than we think,” assured the American president, who has already made similar remarks several times without any real progress towards a resolution of the conflict being made.

Call for member countries to leave the International Criminal Court

The American president then called on all member countries of the International Criminal Court (ICC) to withdraw from this body, which he accused of being “out of control”. “The United States is equally opposed to this out-of-control institution that is the International Criminal Court,” he declared from the podium. “I call on all ICC member countries to officially and immediately withdraw from this out-of-control institution.”

Two new military bases built in Greenland

The American president announced at the same time that they were going to build two “very large military bases” in Greenland, following the agreement reached with Denmark and the authorities of the immense Arctic territory.

“We will immediately begin developing a significant military presence in relevant locations. We will build two very large military bases,” the American president said.

The Cuban regime will soon “fall”

The latter further assures that Cuba was going to “fall”, without saying how, by declaring that his government wanted a “fundamental change” on the island. “The communist regime is under great pressure, the strongest it has ever known. (...) It will fall,” declared the American president, adding that Washington was holding negotiations with Havana and predicting: “Freedom will come to Cuba.”

AI: the US government will now use the term “super intelligence”

As for artificial intelligence, Donald Trump announces that the American government will now use the term “super intelligence” rather than “artificial intelligence” (AI) in its communication, hoping that “the world” will follow suit. “It sounds a lot better” than artificial intelligence, said the American president. “It’s much more appropriate.”

The tenant of the White House also rejects “any attempt to build a globalist project to control artificial intelligence”, while calls are increasing in favor of broad coordination on AI. On Monday, the leaders of more than 20 countries including Canada, Germany and Australia pleaded for more supervision of this technology and the possible creation, under the aegis of the UN, of an international regulatory body.
