Trump's Labor Day Truth Social Posts Spark 25th Amendment Calls Amid Low Approval Ratings

President Donald Trump bizarrely channeled his inner Snow White, as well as Muhammad Ali, with a series of manic Truth Social posts celebrating his “greatness” this Labor Day.

Amid a flurry of post about the war in Iran and his delusional desire to rename New Mexico “New America,” Trump shared an image of a man who resembles former President Barack Obama staring into a mirror and seeing Trump.

“Mirror mirror on the wall who’s the greatest president of them all,” the image read.

Trump continued with his assertion of his greatness on Truth Social — channeling the energy of Muhammad Ali, who famously referred to himself as the greatest long before he became a world champion boxer.

The president touted himself as the “greatest,” above all other former U.S. presidents — though his critics and approval ratings paint a vastly different picture.

The post showed his portrait underneath the words, “The Greatest,” while all the other former U.S. presidents appeared under other subheads, including, “Great,” “Near Great,” “Average,” “Below Average” and “Failures.”

Those listed as “Great” include former presidents Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson, while the failures include former presidents Joe Biden and Barack Obama, two frequent targets of Trump’s criticisms.

The series of manic posts comes as Trump’s approval rating has hit a new low.

A new Financial Times poll carried out by Focaldata found that only 33 percent of registered voters approve of Trump’s performance as president.

The figure is the lowest number recorded since the newspaper began asking the question in May, and a three-point decrease from the previous month. It also comes just two months before November’s midterm elections, presenting a potential headache for Republicans who are looking to defend the Senate and House majorities they won two years ago.

Pessimism about the economy and the cost of living among Americans was a primary reason for Trump’s dropping numbers, according to the poll.

Additionally, nearly two-thirds of registered voters said they believed the economy was heading in the wrong direction, and 57 percent said they were worse off financially under the current administration.

Trump posted similarly bizarre images dozens of times over Labor Day weekend covering a range of topics from the SAVE America Act, to bragging about his One Big Beautiful Bill to even a seemingly AI-generated image of himself wrestling with Hulk Hogan.

He also posted a map of North America entirely covered by the U.S. flag, an escalation of his dubious attempts to annex sovereign nations and rebrand territories, bodies of water and other landmarks.

The president posted a barrage of images labeling New Mexico as “New America,” drawing outrage from state officials and members of Congress.

He also wished Americans a happy Labor Day, an annual holiday that honors workers and the labor movement.

“Happy Labor Day to all, including the Radical Left Lunatics, Communists, and Dumocrats who will do anything possible to destroy our Country,” Trump wrote. “These Deranged People, after fighting for 10 years, should finally acknowledge that your Favorite President (ME!), knows how to WIN!”

He claimed Republicans will win “BIG” in midterm elections to “SAVE AMERICA!”

The 80-year-old president’s lengthy rants to Truth Social, as well as his penchant for sharing bizarre AI-generated images, have raised further questions about his mental acuity and led to renewed calls for his removal from office under the 25th Amendment.

Under the U.S. Constitution, a sitting president can only be removed from office by Congress through impeachment and conviction or by the vice president and the Cabinet by invoking the 25th Amendment.

Vice President JD Vance and a majority of the Cabinet would have to declare to Congress that the president is unable to discharge the powers and duties of the office.

“Trump is absolutely losing it. 25th Amendment now,” the Republicans Against Trump account wrote on X.

“Trump’s Truth Social right now is pure chaos. What exactly is the 25th Amendment for, if not this?” the Call to Activism X account posted on Sunday.

Democratic influencer Harry Sisson shared a lengthy list detailing the president’s concerning Truth Social posts made within a span of hours on Sunday.

The posts include AI images of Robert De Niro holding a “Trump is my president” shirt, AI images of him meeting George Washington at the White House, an image of the map of Iran in the shape of his face, and an image of himself as Hulk Hogan, among others.

“This man is unwell. 25th Amendment NOW,” Sisson added.

An analysis of Trump’s Truth Social posting sprees by The Daily Beast found the president had posted more than 1,000 times in August and that he did most of his posting between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
