DEM Party Co-Chairman Tülay Hatimoğulları made evaluations about the agenda at her party's group meeting in the Parliament.
Hatimoğulları said, "Tomorrow is November 4. A political coup took place 10 years ago. Our managers and members, including our co-chairs at that time, Figen Yüksekdağ and Selahattin Demirtaş, faced detention and arrest. They tried to handcuff the will of millions with the Kobanê conspiracy case. Why have these people been locked up for 10 years? An 8-year-old child at that time is now 18 years old and has become a voter. But this political coup continues. He is detained throughout this period. "The ECHR decision covering all of our friends has been announced many times. Türkiye has an obligation to implement the decisions taken by the ECHR. Despite these decisions, our friends are being kept inside as political hostages. This case has almost been turned into political revenge."
'İMAMOĞLU' REACTION: ITS PLACE IS WITH THE PEOPLE
Hatimoğulları stated that DEM Party Group Deputy Chairman Sezai Temelli visited İmamoğlu, who was detained in Silivri, due to the detention of the former IMM President Ekrem İmamoğlu, who was dismissed, and continued as follows:
"He is still detained and his trial is continuing. Yesterday, our Deputy Group Chairman, Sezai Temelli, was there with our delegation for solidarity. Our party followed the case in Silivri yesterday. The place of the politician is not in the courtrooms, but with the people. The place of the politician is in these podiums. The place of the politician is the office to which he was elected. Because the elected politician is yours, the will of the people. It is not acceptable to take him from there and appoint a trustee instead, despite the will of the people, despite the people. Is the government acting according to its own calendar, not the spoken calendar? Does the government have a peace and democracy calendar? If so, why doesn't he make it public? It is the duty and responsibility of the government to answer these problems. It is essential to produce answers to these concrete questions of society. The framework law must now be implemented without wasting time. If everyone feels responsible, if everyone takes responsibility, no one can develop tactics to avoid peace. As DEM Party, we see this process this way, we handle it this way, and we will continue to stand at this point until the end. No power can stand in the way of peace. Noting that the government has not done anything about fund profiteering, Hatimoğulları said, "There is still no concrete step." Hatimoğulları continued as follows:
