The Rate of Female Entrepreneurs in Türkiye Increased to 18.2 Percent

THE RATE OF WOMEN ENTREPRENEURS INCREASED TO 18.2 PERCENT

Stating that women are increasingly having a say in entrepreneurship in Türkiye, Göktaş said, "Our rate of female entrepreneurs, which was 13.1 percent in 2002, increased to 18.2 percent in 2025. The number of female entrepreneurs reached 1 million 230 thousand." he said.

Stating that this table reveals the success of women in transforming their knowledge, labor and talents into economic value, Göktaş said that the businesses established by women contribute to the country's production capacity, exports and brand value.

Göktaş stated that they provide support to women entrepreneurs in different areas from financing to education, from mentoring to market access, and said, "Our goal is to create an inclusive ecosystem where women have a greater say in the sectors of the future and lead innovative business models."

AFTER THE TRAININGS, 69 PERCENT OF WOMEN FELT MORE COMPETENT

Within the scope of the "Rising Women: My Own Business, My Trace" program, women entrepreneurs were given training in branding, digitalization, e-commerce, communication and team management.

Göktaş said that they brought together female entrepreneurs with expert trainers on financial and legal processes, establishing a company and access to finance. Providing information about the feedback received from the program participants, Göktaş said, "As a matter of fact, 69 percent of our participants stated that they felt more competent in entrepreneurship after the training. 53 percent stated that they prepared business plans or developed new collaborations." he said.

Stating that 80 percent of women have increased their knowledge about access to finance, Göktaş said that 56 percent of them stated that access to finance has become easier.

Minister Göktaş stated that they delivered the training to women entrepreneurs in different regions with our "Entrepreneurship Training Truck" and that they brought expertise to the field on the route from the Black Sea to Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia and then to Central Anatolia.

SUPPORT TO 1,367 WOMEN'S COOPERATIVES

Providing information about women's work in the field of e-commerce and digitalization, Göktaş stated that they provided training to more than 13 thousand women who want to step into e-commerce and digitalize their business.

Göktaş stated that within the scope of their work on women's cooperatives, they have reached approximately 247 thousand people by providing support to 1,367 women's cooperatives so far.

Stating that they provide training services to more than 1.3 million people within the scope of "Financial Literacy Trainings", Göktaş said that they enable women to turn their hobbies into income through e-commerce with the "Let Your Hobby Be Your Job Project".

Minister Göktaş also stated that they gathered support and incentives for women entrepreneurs under one roof with the "kadingirisimci.gov.tr" platform, and within the scope of the cooperation with Hepsiburada, more than 13 thousand women who wanted to step into e-commerce and grow their business digitally were given training.
