TVBS and Sanli announce a partnership! Jiang Wanan, Shen Boyang TV debate finalized

TVBS and Sanli TV announced today that they will jointly host the Taipei Mayor’s TV Debate. KMT candidate Chiang Wanan and DPP candidate Shen Boyang have both been invited.

The Taipei mayoral election campaign is getting thicker. TVBS and Sanli TV issued a joint statement today (11th), announcing that the two parties have reached a consensus to jointly host the Taipei mayoral candidate televised debate, and have extended invitations to KMT candidate Chiang Wanan and DPP candidate Shen Boyang.

The two TV stations are expected to invite representatives from both camps on the afternoon of tomorrow (12th) to discuss the debate process, program format, and specific hosting date. It is expected that relevant details will be successfully finalized after the meeting. Looking back at the 2022 Taipei mayoral election, Sanli TV and TVBS jointly organized the debate at that time. Both candidates expressed positive attitudes towards the success of the debate. Democratic Progressive Party candidate Shen Boyang said he was "very much looking forward to it" and hoped that the sooner the better. KMT candidate Chiang Wanan said he would go all out and hoped to use the debate to fully explain future political ideas and policy blueprint to Taipei citizens.
