Human remains were found during demolition work in Üçtutlar District

The incident took place in the area of ​​​​an old school building located on Fatih Street in Üçtutlar District, where demolition work is ongoing.

During the demolition and excavation work carried out with the work machine, the digger operator noticed that there were skull and bone fragments in the excavated soil.

Upon notification of the situation, the work was stopped and 112 Emergency Call Center was notified. Upon notice, police teams were dispatched to the area.

Following their investigation at the scene, the teams preserved the skull and bone fragments, which were considered to belong to humans, unearthed from the soil.

OLD CEMETERY CLAIM

Neighborhood residents claimed that the area where the school in question is located was used as a cemetery in the past.

The length of time the bones were found in the soil and who they belonged to will be determined after further investigation.

Police teams are continuing their investigation into the incident.
