A hand grenade was found among the trees in Ümraniye

The incident took place around 14:00 in front of a furniture factory in Ümraniye Necip Fazıl District Söğütlük Street. According to the information obtained, G.T., who worked in the factory, noticed a suspicious bag while trying to buy materials from the trees right in front of the door of the workplace. The employee opened the bag and checked it, and when he saw that there was a grenade inside, he reported the situation to the police. Upon being notified, police forces arrived at the scene as soon as possible and took security measures in the surrounding area. While police teams carried out fingerprint work and detailed examination at the scene, it was learned that the investigation into the hand grenade found was continuing.

G.T., who found the grenade, said, "A hand grenade was found among the trees in front of my workplace and I informed the police teams. The teams came and started the investigation, took our fingerprints. I am a furniture manufacturer. While I was buying or cutting down trees, I saw that bag there and when I checked inside, I found out that it was a hand grenade, and I informed the police."
