Apartment fire in Umurlu District, 5 people taken to hospital

The fire occurred around 01:00 on the first floor of the Değirmenci apartment building, located on the side road of Adnan Menderes Boulevard in Umurlu District. According to the information obtained, a fire broke out in the apartment for an unknown reason.

Upon the notification of the surrounding citizens to the 112 Emergency Call Center, fire brigade, health and police teams were dispatched to the region. While the firefighters who came to the region were trying to intervene in the fire, they also started working to rescue those trapped in the house. Hundreds of people gathered in front of the burning apartment building, anxiously waiting for those trapped in the house to be rescued. As a result of the interventions of the fire brigade, the fire was taken under control before it spread to other houses, and 5 people rescued from the house were taken to the hospital by ambulance.

The house, which suffered extensive material damage due to the fire, became unusable. An investigation has been launched into the fire, the cause of which has not yet been determined.
