A 20-year-old young man arrested after confessing to the knife murder of a woman in Bormujos, Seville

He met her through a mobile phone application, waited for her in the hotel room where she was staying, the Vértice in the Sevillian town of Bormujos, and stabbed her to death. That is the sequence of the crime perpetrated last night in this municipality near the Andalusian capital and for which a 20-year-old young man remains detained.

As confirmed by sources from the Civil Guard, it was at the stroke of midnight when the emergency services of 112 Andalucía received a call in which a young man claimed to have murdered a woman in a hotel in Bormujos and even gave indications of his location so that they could locate the victim's body.

From 112 they notified the Civil Guard and the Local Police and it was members of the latter body who arrested the alleged murderer, who after committing the crime had left the establishment where he was staying and had been wandering the streets of the town.

He was located near the hotel by a municipal police patrol and surrendered without resistance. Subsequently, the arrested person was handed over to the Civil Guard, in whose Seville Command headquarters he currently remains waiting for him to be brought to justice, something that could happen tomorrow.

According to the information provided by the armed institute, the events occurred between 10:30 p.m. and 11:30 p.m. this Thursday in one of the rooms of the Vértice hotel, located next to the A-49 highway and a few kilometers from the capital. This is a hotel frequented by visitors who go to Seville or by couples who spend the weekend there.

The circumstances have not been revealed, but at one point, when the girl was already in the room, the alleged murderer stabbed her several times with a sharp object that caused serious bleeding and, in the absence of an autopsy confirming it, her death almost immediately.

The health services that responded to the 112 call found the victim, 41 years old, already dead and could not do anything except certify his death.

The murder weapon, which was not a knife, was located and is in the possession of investigators from the Organic Unit of the Judicial Police of the Seville Command, which is the one that has taken charge of the case.

One of the hypotheses those in charge of the investigation are working with is that the crime could have been planned in advance by the young man, who would have carried it out as he had previously planned.
