A wedding in Orense ends in a fight, accusations of infidelity and possible divorce

A wedding held last Saturday in Gomesende (Orense) ended quite far from what was planned. Before the banquet concluded, the newlyweds were already arguing over 40,000 euros, their families were fighting, some of the crockery ended up broken, the Civil Guard intervened to restore order and an alleged infidelity ended up ruining a marriage with just a few hours of life.

The celebration took place at A Casa da Tulla, a rural accommodation located in a 17th century building in the municipality. According to La Región, the conflict began when the bride demanded 40,000 euros from her husband which, according to an alleged prior agreement between the two, should have come from the money given by the guests as a wedding gift.

The boyfriend's refusal increased the tension and the discussion soon ceased to be limited to the couple. Relatives of both ended up getting involved in a fight that led to insults, struggles and attacks, while part of the kitchenware used during the banquet ended up destroyed. The situation led to requesting the presence of the Civil Guard, who went to the premises and managed to put an end to the confrontation.

The actions of the agents ended without complaints. Those involved agreed to take responsibility for the damage caused during the fight and the incident was closed, at least through the police.

For the couple, however, the problems did not end there. During the celebration itself, the bride would have entered the bathrooms accompanied by a young man linked to the wedding organization and would have had relations with him there.

Later he would have told people around him of his intention to go to a lawyer to start divorce proceedings. Thus, a day designed to celebrate the beginning of a life together ended with the two families at odds and with the newlyweds already talking about ending the marriage.
