A pontoon on the Naples seafront for the 2027 America's Cup

A pontoon on the Caracciolo seafront, in dialogue with the Colonna Spezzata, to change the face of the sea of ​​Naples in view of the America's Cup 2027: it is the new space designed and created by Sport e Salute, an island on the water, a new meeting point between land and sea, sport and city.

Here, while the AC40s fly over the Gulf, a place that wasn't there is born, designed to welcome people, emotions and stories and to create a new point of relationship between the city and the sea. The pontoon, 37 meters long and 30 meters wide, weighs approximately one thousand tons.

It can accommodate up to 100 people. It was created at the Immacolatella Vecchia Pier from where it left this morning at dawn for a short sea journey that took it to the Lungomare Caracciolo, at the aquarium, a few meters from the Villa Comunale. The installation will already be used for events on the occasion of the preliminary regatta scheduled in Naples from tomorrow to Sunday. It is from this vision that the journey towards the America's Cup 2027 begins.
