UAE President Mohammed bin Sajid received by Söder in Munich

Honor formation of the Bavarian police in the Kaiserhof of the Munich Residence: Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) welcomed the President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mohammed bin Sajid, with a typical country reception and red carpet in the morning. A detail that several eyewitnesses noticed: Söder and the state guest were obviously wearing the same model of sports shoes.

After the reception, Mohammed bin Sajid signed the Bavarian State Government's guest book. Children from the Bavarian Traditional Costume Association presented the state guest with a large gingerbread heart. Söder and the Emirati President then withdrew to a discussion in the Kaisersaal of the residence. Among other things, there were Bavarian pretzels on the table.

At midday, Söder and his visitor will be guests at the economic forum in the ballroom of the Bayerischer Hof at the invitation of Federal Economics Minister Reiche (CDU).

Emirates announced billions in investments

Mohammed bin Sajid began his two-day state visit to Germany on Thursday. It is the first time that a President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has ever visited Germany. The Emirates want to invest a further 40 billion euros in Germany. This will more than double the Gulf state's previous investment in the German economy of around 34 billion euros.
