The bodies of 9 Iranian citizens who died in the accident in Van were sent to the city of Khoy

A minibus with Iranian plate and a truck collided head-on on the Özalp-Saray highway yesterday evening.

In the accident in which 9 people in the minibus lost their lives, the driver of the truck and 5 people in the minibus were injured. Relatives of 9 people, 5 women and 4 men, who died in the accident came to the morgue of Van Yüzüncü Yıl University Dursun Odabaş Medical Center in the morning to receive the bodies.

While the identities of the deceased were determined by the identification of their relatives, the Deputy Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Van, Seyed Hasan Yahyavi, and the Van Consul Saeid Khajavi also came to the morgue and received information from the authorities.

After the procedures, the bodies were taken from the morgue with 3 vehicles belonging to the Van Metropolitan Municipality and taken to Khoy, Iran.

On the other hand, it was stated that the driver of the truck involved in the accident was detained by the teams.

While 3 of the other 5 people injured in the accident were discharged, it was learned that the health condition of 2 people who were receiving treatment was good.
