Suspicious suitcase in Darmstadt city center causes closures

A suspicious suitcase in front of a bakery in downtown Darmstadt is currently causing a large-scale closure. Because of the measures, the operation of buses and trains also had to be temporarily stopped, the police said.

The abandoned piece of luggage was reported to the police around 12:15 p.m. A patrol found the suitcase on a bicycle rack in front of the bakery branch. “The officers cordoned off the area as a precautionary measure,” it said.
