The court granted provisional freedom to the Quixeramobim councilor, François Saldanha, aged 67. He had been arrested for drunk driving after colliding with a truck loaded with paint and "leaving" the driver of the other vehicle painted green, on CE-060, in the interior of Ceará. The accident happened on Thursday night (10).
The court decision is this Friday (11). The court issued a release permit in favor of the suspect. The councilor did not undergo a custody hearing as he is hospitalized in serious condition in the ICU of the Hospital Regional do Sertão Central (HRSC), in Quixeramobim. g1 did not locate his defense until the publication of this report.
Councilor François Saldanha was under police escort in hospital due to injuries caused by the accident. With the court decision, the parliamentarian will no longer be escorted while he remains in the hospital unit.

The Court established the following precautionary measures for the councilor:
attendance at the Court in which he resides, monthly, at which time he must always inform and justify his activities;
prohibition of attending bars, parties and nightclubs;
prohibition on being absent from the District for more than eight days or changing address until the end of the process, except with authorization from the Court;
obligation to keep both your own address and telephone number up to date and that of a family member for the purpose of locating the person and attending all acts of the process.
Victim turned green
The accident, which was filmed by a security camera, took place in the Humberto Bezerra neighborhood, in Quixeramobim. A motorcycle that was traveling near the two cars carrying a couple was also hit. In total, four people were injured.
With the impact of the accident, the gallons spilled into the truck, leaving the driver of the vehicle covered in green paint. The material was also scattered on the track. The identity of the victim was not disclosed.
According to a family member, the truck driver suffered a muscle strain in his arm, but did not need to be hospitalized. The family member also highlighted that the man was working at the time he was hit by the councilman's car.
In a statement, the Quixeramobim City Council informed that, "at the moment, our concern is entirely focused on recovering the health of those involved."
"We take the opportunity to ask for prayers for the councilor's prompt recovery, given the seriousness of his condition Without further ado, this is our initial position", says the Chamber.

According to the Military Police, the team from the Intensive and Ostensive Actions Rondas Policing Battalion (BPRaio) was patrolling the region and, when they arrived at the scene of the accident, they found the victims and called for help.
Also according to the PM, François Saldanha was rescued by Samu and taken to the Hospital Regional do Sertão Central (HRSC). At the health unit, the politician underwent an examination, which revealed signs of drunkenness.
The incident was reported to the Civil Police, who charged councilor François Saldanha with negligent bodily injury resulting from the traffic accident.

The couple who were on the motorcycle involved in the accident with the councilor's car were rescued by a team from Samu Ceará and taken to Upa de Quixeramobim.
The Military Police reported that the motorcyclist suffered a broken hand, while the passenger suffered a leg injury.
The Municipal Traffic Authority of Quixeramobim (AMTQ) was also called to the incident, being responsible for isolating and signaling the location, in addition to controlling vehicle traffic in the region.
"During the incident, it was also necessary for the AMTQ team to clean the road, due to the spill of liquid material from the cargo of one of the vehicles involved, which left the pavement slippery and posed a safety risk to other road users," said the Traffic Authority.
