VIDEO: rifles are found hidden inside the dashboard of a car that traveled 1,300 km and was arrested 100 km from its final destination, in Paraná

Two rifles were found hidden inside the dashboard of a car during an inspection by the Federal Highway Police (PRF) on BR-376 in Ponta Grossa, in Campos Gerais do Paraná. The incident was carried out on Friday afternoon (16).

According to the corporation, both weapons are of 5.56 mm caliber, one of the most popular models in the world and which is widely used by military and police forces and in the Brazilian civilian market for shooters, hunters and collectors (CACs) or within specific rules.

The 33-year-old driver does not have a driver's license and was arrested for international firearms trafficking. His name was not released.

According to the corporation, after the incident, the man said that he had left Curitiba (PR) for Naviraí (MS), where he handed over the car to a person whose name was not given, and that he then received the vehicle again to return to Curitiba, where he would deliver it to another person.

The cities are about 711 km apart; counting the round trip, the driver traveled approximately 1,300 km until he was arrested in Ponta Grossa, 100 km from his final destination.
