VIDEO: Storm causes hail, roofing and falling tree in the interior of Acre

A heavy hailstorm hit the municipality of Bujari, in the interior of Acre, on Friday afternoon (9). The storm lasted around 50 minutes and caused damage in the region, including roofing of properties and falling trees, according to the Municipal Civil Defense.

Videos recorded by residents show the intensity of the rain and the ice falling on streets and establishments. In one of the records, made by authorized registry clerk Ketllen Oliveira, 29 years old, it is possible to see hail hitting the registry office in the central region of the municipality.

In another video, a man records the fall of ice cubes falling on a bar next to the registry office. In the images, the man comments on the intensity of the storm. "Look, guys, the ice cubes falling, it's really ice, see?! It's a storm in Bujari", he said.

Ao, g1, Ketllen said he was working at around 3:45 pm when he noticed the change in the weather. According to her, the noise caused by the ice cubes was what caught the attention of those in the establishment.

"It was the first time I witnessed a situation like this, so I was quite surprised. As soon as I realized what was happening, I sent a message to my husband, who works in Rio Branco, and he told me that it wasn't even raining there at that moment", she reported.

The coordinator of Bujari's Civil Defense, Francisco Cleudenir da Silva, confirmed the records of falling trees and roofing of houses as a result of the storm, but did not specify the total number of incidents.
