A conversation between Larissa Morata and the sister of her husband, PM Vinícius Costa Silva, before she died, shows that the nursing technician reported being emotionally shaken and said she wanted to die. In one of the recordings, she states that she wanted to “jump out of the car” after complaining about her relationship with her husband.
In another audio, Larissa says she didn't want to end the relationship and asks Thamires, her sister-in-law, to talk to the police officer to try to change his mind. "Because I don't want to break up. I just want him to change," he says.
Vinícius was temporarily arrested on Monday (7), suspected of killing his wife, who was found dead in the bathroom of the house where they lived, in Embu das Artes, in Greater São Paulo.
He denies the crime and claims that Larissa took her own life. The hypothesis of suicide, however, was ruled out by the police after the first expert examinations carried out on the body. According to the investigation, the shot hit the region above the left ear and behind the head, and the trajectory of the projectile indicates that the shot was fired from behind. Since Larissa is right-handed, it would be unlikely for her to do this.
The case is being investigated as a suspicious death and still depends on the conclusion of forensic examinations.

In one of the audios, Larissa complains to her sister-in-law about her relationship with her husband. She says she was called “spoiled” and says she did everything she could to take care of the house and her son, Theo.
"Bro... You never ask if I'm okay. Never, old man. 'Baby, are you in pain? Do you want some medicine, love?' Never, old man”, he says.
Larissa says that she took care of Vinícius when he was in pain and complains that, according to her, he did not receive the same type of attention.
She also states that she wanted to participate in household decisions, such as choosing a sofa with her husband, but that he was on his cell phone and didn't pay attention to what she was saying.
Afterwards, she reports that she was criticized for crying and “not being able to handle anything”. "Seriously, I'm going to want to throw myself out of the car, old man. That's why: he only cares, bro, about people from outside," he says.
Later, Larissa says again that she felt criticized by her husband.
"See if he says: 'Wow, you're a good mother. You're a good wife'? Damn it, old man. All you know is pointing fingers and criticizing. All you know is seeing the bad things. It's times like these when you want to throw everything up. Seriously, bro."
'I don't want to break up'
In another audio, Larissa tells Vinícius's sister about a conversation she had with her husband. According to her, the police officer said he was going through a very busy period and that the two were at different points in their lives.
“He said that he wasn’t treating me badly, that he wasn’t being rude, that he’s at a very busy point in his life, and that I’m not on the same wavelength as him, that we’re on different wavelengths,” he says.
She questions her husband about the reason for his behavior and mentions an argument related to the pharmacy they own. According to Larissa, she had already apologized and explained why she reacted that way.
“Then it got quiet again,” he added. In another recording, Larissa asks Thamires to talk to Vinícius about the relationship.
"Anyway, if you talk to him, you tell him what you said to me, that if he's not happy, it's easier for him to break up, understand? And I'm going to handle it. I'm going to suffer, right? But I'm going to handle it."
Afterwards, she made it clear that she did not want the separation. "Because I don't want to break up. I just want him to change. But if he's not capable of that, then... Anyway, give him whatever advice you think is best. And I'll deal with the rest."
Previous messages also mention death
In addition to the audios, messages exchanged between Larissa and Thamires before her death show that she had already made references to death.
In a conversation on Instagram, Larissa wrote: “I want to die man”; "Serious"; “I’m so fed up”; “Tired of trying to do my best.” In another conversation, via WhatsApp, she wrote: "Do I want to slit my wrists and jump in the pool? I do."
Larissa also reported using sertraline, an antidepressant medication. In one of the messages, he wrote: “Let me take my sertraline here, this thing is crazy.”
In an audio from July 9, she related her emotional state to her marriage to Vinícius.
"For me to be happy, you have to be happy in this. When we are well, when I am well with you, I wake up happier, I wake up more willing, I wake up wanting to do things; my day goes well. Now, when we are like this, I keep my head down. Before sertraline, right?", he stated.
Police ruled out suicide
Despite Larissa's previous reports of thoughts related to death, the police ruled out the hypothesis of suicide based on the trajectory of the shot.
The definitive conclusion, however, depends on expert examinations.
Vinícius's sister was at their house on Sunday (6), when Larissa died. The police officer was temporarily arrested this Monday (7), suspected of the crime.
Defense says Larissa took her own life
Vinícius denies having killed his wife and maintains that Larissa took her own life. The defense presented to the police the messages and audios in which she talks about death, emotional suffering, use of sertraline and relationship difficulties.
According to the defense, the material is relevant to reconstruct Larissa's emotional state before her death and should be considered when investigating the suicide hypothesis.
Larissa's family, on the other hand, report that the police officer had possessive behavior. The police are investigating the circumstances of the death and are awaiting the conclusion of forensic examinations.
