Including charging losses, it was 7.51 kWh. During a separate ideal drive at a constant 68 km/h, without gradients and without air conditioning, the study achieved 6.48 kWh/100 km.
With a drag coefficient of 0.158, the “Mission Efficiency” is said to achieve the lowest value of a road-legal car. Contributing factors include the teardrop shape, covered rear wheels, a closed underbody and active cooling air flaps.
The 99 kW/135 hp electric motor and the battery come from the upcoming ID. Polo, solar cells on the roof and rear window also provide electricity for the vehicle electrical system.
