Burglary and theft of firearms
Thieves broke into a single-family house in the Lubin district last Saturday. They stole an armored cabinet with firearms and ammunition, as well as sports and photographic equipment and cash in the amount of PLN 20,000. PLN - total losses were estimated at almost PLN 100,000. zloty.
The case was brought to the attention of Lublin police officers. Uniformed officers from the criminal division and forensic technicians were sent to the scene to collect traces and secure evidence. The officers managed to identify people suspected of involvement in the crime and determine the places where they could have been.
With the support of Legnica policemen and counter-terrorists from Wrocław and Opole, they forcibly entered several apartments in the Legnica district. Eight people were detained.
Suspects of burglary and theft were arrested
Among those detained were two residents of Legnica, aged 33 and 42. They are suspected of committing a theft and burglary of a single-family house in the Lubin district.
"In addition, the younger of them will be charged with possession and marketing of significant amounts of narcotic and psychotropic substances. In his apartment, the officers found and seized 2,700 commercial portions of amphetamine and nearly 150 portions of marijuana, as well as over 8 kilograms of white liquid with amphetamine-like properties," said the police in Lubin.
By court decision, they were temporarily arrested for three months.
Significant amounts of drugs were seized during the operation
A 37-year-old resident of Legnica was also detained in one of the apartments. Among the items seized from him were 2.5 thousand commercial portions of marijuana, 1.5 thousand commercial portions of methamphetamine and 170 commercial portions of amphetamine.
The man was charged with possession of a significant amount of drugs and trafficking in these illegal substances, the police in Lubin said. Investigators also determined that the man was wanted for serving a 1.5-year prison sentence. The court decided to temporarily arrest him for 3 months.

According to the Lublin police, among the eight detained people there was also a 27-year-old citizen of Belarus. The officers established the circumstances surrounding her stay in Poland. According to the services, the conditions specified in Art. 302 section 1 point 7 and 9 of the Act on Foreigners:
The decision to oblige the foreigner to return is issued to the foreigner when: (point 7) the foreigner's data must be entered into the list of foreigners whose stay on the territory of the Republic of Poland is undesirable, or (point 9) it is required for reasons of national defense or security or the protection of public safety and order or the interests of the Republic of Poland.
"Consequently, the officers prepared an application for a decision obliging the woman to return. The 27-year-old woman was handed over to border guard officers in Legnica," said the police in Lubin.
Uniformed officers from various units were involved in the action
As the uniformed officers emphasized, the action was the result of cooperation between several police units. Officers from the District Police Headquarters in Lubin, the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica and counter-terrorists from Wrocław and Opole were involved, as well as guides with service dogs trained to search for drugs from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra and the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec.
The investigation is ongoing and the services do not rule out further arrests.
