Yemen Minister Zube Met with Turkish Ambassador to Riyadh İşler

According to the news of Yemen's official news agency SABA, Minister Zube met with Türkiye's Ambassador to Riyadh, Emrullah İşler.

During the meeting, the latest developments in Yemen and the region and ways to strengthen relations and expand cooperation between the two countries were discussed.

During the meeting, Minister Zube appreciated Türkiye's stance supporting Yemen and its constitutional legitimacy, as well as its support to the Presidential Council and the Yemeni government.

Pointing out the importance of strengthening the political and diplomatic coordination between Türkiye and Yemen in the face of regional and international developments, Zube noted that this will contribute to the efforts to re-establish the state and strengthen the security and stability of the region.

Stating that the Yemeni government expects to expand cooperation with Türkiye, especially in the fields of supporting state institutions and improving basic services, Zube stated that this will contribute to alleviating the difficulties experienced by citizens.

Zube also touched upon the impact of the Houthis' attacks on the security of Yemen and the region, the threat it poses to shipping and international trade in the Red Sea and Babulmandeb Strait, and the government's efforts to protect citizens, strengthen the capacity of state institutions, and restore security and stability.

Minister Zube drew attention to the increasing threats posed by the Houthis' indiscriminate missile launching to the security of civil aviation and international air transportation, and warned that the use of weapons that do not distinguish between civilian and military targets poses serious risks for the lives of civilian aircraft and passengers.

Ambassador İşler also stated that his country continues its stance supporting the Yemeni government and Yemen's security, unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity.

İşler stated that Türkiye attaches importance to improving bilateral cooperation and supporting the Yemeni government's efforts to re-establish state institutions and strengthen security and stability.
